The Douglas County Central Committee elected officers for the 2011-2012 term at the January 27 meeting. They, along with a group of dedicated DCDCC members, have just completed a productive strategic planning session and have begun laying the foundation for a growth of the Democratic Party in Douglas County. Highlights from the planning session include:
- Register more Democrats;
- Send to those recently registering as Democrat or Undecided a letter of introduction to the successes of Douglas County Democrats;
- Establish a community awareness campaign;
- Keep Nevada Blue Dinner is set for Saturday, April 16 at the Carson Valley Inn;
- Establish procedures for 2012 Get Out The Vote;
- Increase DC Democrats’ participation via the website, events and volunteering.
